JURCINA BACK TO WASHINGTON

The Washington Capitals acquired defenseman Milan Jurcina from the Columbus Blue Jackets for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2010.

What does it give the Washington Capitals
The Capitals know exactly what they're getting in Jurcina, since they trading him to Columbus earlier this season. He provides size and depth, but he's not an impact player by any stretch of the imagination.

What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
Since Jurcina was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, the Blue Jackets did very well to get something back in exchange for a few months of Jurcina's services.
