TOM SESTITO TO FLYERS

The Philadelphia Flyers acquired winger Tom Sestito from the Columbus Blue Jackets for forwards Greg Moore and Michael Chaput.

What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
Sestito is the type of physical player who could thrive in the Flyers organization. For now, he'll likely remain in the American Hockey League, but he might find his way onto the fourth line next season. They gave up an AHLer in Moore and a decent junior prospect in Chaput, so clearly they have plans for Sestito.

What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
Chaput should be the long-range key for the Blue Jackets here, as he's a big rangy center--a position of extreme weakness within the Jackets organization. Moore also adds some organizational depth, as a player who can compete both at the AHL and NHL levels. Sestito wasn't in the plans anymore, so they did well to accumulate two assets.
