In Megna, the Kraken are getting a big (6'6"), stay-at-home defenseman. In San Jose he often partnered with Erik Karlsson, and his defensive presence helped give Karlsson the freedom to roam. Expect more of the same from Megna in Seattle.
What does it give the San Jose Sharks
San Jose is in full rebuilding mode. A fourth-round pick in a deep draft is a good return for a player who does not put up many points. This trade also helps with the Sharks' pursuit of the No. 1 overall draft pick, and a chance at potential superstar Connor Bedard.
