What does it give the Chicago Blackhawks
Bjork was playing in the AHL for Rochester this season, compiling 25 points in 42 games. He has NHL experience and may be needed to play out the string in Chicago down the stretch.

What does it give the Buffalo Sabres
The Sabres are unlikely to receive much in return for Bjork's services. Buffalo did not feel the need to keep him in the organization, even for depth purposes. A change was in order.
