The New York Rangers acquired forward Todd White from the Atlanta Thrashers for wingers Patrick Rissmiller and Donald Brashear.

White is a little expensive and in decline, but he may have enough gas left in the tank to help the Rangers in 2010-11. Otherwise, they'll likely dispath him to the AHL and rid themselves of his hefty cap hit.
What does it give the Atlanta Thrashers
Brashear was a procedural acquisition, as he's expected to be bought out by the Thrashers. Rissmiller is a gritty winger who will likely play in the AHL again this season. This move was done by Atlanta to rid themselves of White's contract.
