BOGOSIAN MINNESOTA BOUND
The Minnesota Wild acquired defenseman Zach Bogosian from the Tampa Bay Lightning for a seventh-round draft pick in 2025.
What does it give the Minnesota Wild
It turns out the Wild weren't clearing up the log jam on the right side of their defense after all. Instead, they were opening up a spot to acquire the rugged Bogosian. He will add some toughness and a defensive first mindset to the Wild's backend. He won't play big minutes but Bogosian fits Minnesota's identity perfectly.
What does it give the Tampa Bay Lightning
In Tampa Bogosian had been passed on the depth chart by younger players like Darren Raddysh and Nick Perbix. The Lightning do their former Stanley Cup winner a favour by trading him to a team where he will likely see more playing time.
Fantasy impact
There is no fantasy impact with this trade as Bogosian is a defensive first bottom pair defenseman at this point in his career.
