DUMBA DEALT TO TAMPA BAY

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired defenseman Matt Dumba and a seventh-round draft pick in 2025 from the Arizona Coyotes for a fifth-round draft pick in 2027.

What does it give the Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning are starting to slip a bit in the Eastern Conference standings, and a lack of depth is the issue with Tampa Bay. Dumba should help the defense corps this season, especially with Mikhail Sergachev unlikely to return this campaign.

What does it give the Arizona Coyotes
The Coyotes are in full-blown sell mode at present time, especially considering their massive slump recently. Dumba was likely always going to be a short-term defender for Arizona, so the pending UFA will now move on to Tampa Bay.

Fantasy impact
There is no need to pick Dumba up, as he will be more of a depth defenseman for Tampa Bay down the stretch.
