The Nashville Predators acquired defenseman Mark Friedman from the Vancouver Canucks for future considerations.

What does it give the Nashville Predators
Friedman had been toiling in the AHL for most of this season, but the Predators may decide to recall him to the big club. Nashville continues to tinker with its blueline with the hope of finding the right mix.

What does it give the Vancouver Canucks
The Canucks have made moves to add more defensive depth recently, so Friedman appeared to be the odd man out. Instead of keeping him down on the farm, they decided to move him on for little (or no) return.
