KINGS ADD ANDREI KUZMENKO

The Los Angeles Kings acquired winger Andrei Kuzmenko and a seventh-round draft pick in 2025 from the Philadelphia Flyers for a third-round draft pick in 2027.

What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
The Kings were in the market for a scoring winger, so adding Kuzmenko certainly helps on that front. He is woefully inconsistent though, and does his best work on the power play. LA was rumored to be gunning for a bigger name, so they are either not done yet or decided that the cost was too high.

What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
For the Flyers, they just acquired Kuzmenko recently from Calgary but he was probably never going to stick in Philadelphia for the long term. So, getting a third-rounder in '27 in exchange for his services is good business for GM Daniel Briere and company. Philly is not likely done selling players.

Fantasy impact
Kuzmenko is a risky proposition no matter where he plays because of his lack of consistency in his overall game. Will he bust out with the Kings? Gamblers should go for it. Conservative types should stay clear of Kuzmenko.
