MCLAUGHLIN FOR MISYUL
The New Jersey Devils acquired forward Marc McLaughlin from the Boston Bruins for defenseman Daniil Misyul.
What does it give the New Jersey Devils
McLaughlin will provide the Devils with another depth option at forward. He appeared in 26 games with the Bruins over the past few seasons, notching 6 goals along the way. He has not been particularly productive in the AHL either, but he will be a role player who could earn a look on New Jersey's fourth line. For now, he will join their AHL roster.
What does it give the Boston Bruins
Injuries and trades left the Bruins in need of some depth on defense. Misyul gives them just that. The 24-year-old Belarusian debuted in the AHL last year, and saw one game of NHL action with New Jersey this season. A 2019 draft pick of the Devils, Misyul will now get a fresh start and attempt to prove himself in Boston's organization.
