The Columbus Blue Jackets acquired winger Petr Kalus from the Minnesota Wild for future considerations.

What does it give the Columbus Blue Jackets
Kalus is a failed NHL prospect who is now with his third organization. He should be of great help to Springfield at the AHL level, but his NHL aspirations are waning.

What does it give the Minnesota Wild
The Wild gave up on Kalus almost four years after acquiring him from Boston in the Manny Fernandez trade. He appeared in a grand total of two NHL games during his stint with Minny. They won't get much in return here.
