BRODZIAK NOW A WILD
The Minnesota Wild acquired forward Kyle Brodziak from the Edmonton Oilers for a fourth-round draft pick in 2009.
What does it give the Minnesota Wild
The new Wild regime are familiar with Brodziak, so he'll help with the transition from former coach Jacques Lemaire to new bench boss Todd Richards. He'll also play an important defensive role up front.
What does it give the Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers had too many forwards, so they decided to move out one of their bottom-six regulars in Brodziak for a fourth rounder. Marc Pouliot could take over Brodziak's fourth-line center role.
