STARS ADD DEPTH IN D SNEEP

The Dallas Stars acquired defenseman Carl Sneep from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2013.

What does it give the Dallas Stars
The Stars are in need of some depth on defense, especially after trading {P Mark Fistric} to the Oilers. However, Sneep is more of an organizational type. He's expected to spend most of his days in the AHL, and would only be recalled in case of significant blueline injuries.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins are trying to find more playing time for some of their defense prospects down on the farm, so moving out Sneep at this time makes sense. They also recently signed veteran {P Mark Eaton} to an AHL contract, so he's expected to replace Sneep in Wilkes/Barre-Scranton.

Fantasy impact
Sneep has little to no fantasy value, no matter what NHL organization he belongs to. Therefore, there is nothing to see here.
