The Chicago Blackhawks acquired winger Mathieu Beaudoin from the Washington Capitals for forward Peter LeBlanc.

What does it give the Chicago Blackhawks
Beaudoin, a good AHL scorer, will provide depth for the Blackhawks while moving from the Hershey Bears to the Rockford IceHogs at the minor-league level.

What does it give the Washington Capitals
LeBlanc, who is also a versatile AHL scorer, is not likely to see time in Washington this season (barring a barrage of injuries up front in D.C.).
