SENS GET MULLEN FROM 'NUCKS FOR COSTELLO
The Ottawa Senators acquired defenseman Patrick Mullen from the Vancouver Canucks for winger Jeff Costello.
What does it give the Ottawa Senators
Mullen, the son of former NHL sniper {B Joe Mullen}, will add some blueline depth for the Sens but is expected to remain in the AHL for the time being.
What does it give the Vancouver Canucks
Costello is a senior winger currently playing at the University of Notre Dame. He should have an easier time signing his first pro contract with the Canucks.
Fantasy impact
Neither of these players has much fantasy upside, but Costello his younger and may have a bit of dark-horse appeal. Mullen isn't nearly as prolific as his father was.
