MAY TO TORONTO

The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired winger Brad May from the Anaheim Ducks for a conditional sixth-round draft pick in 2010.

What does it give the Toronto Maple Leafs
While Toronto is trying to rebuild, they also need leadership. May should give them some of that, provided he's still capable of contributing at age 37. Look for him to play a fourth-line role for the Leafs. He's a favorite of new Toronto GM Brian Burke, who had him in Vancouver, Anaheim and now Toronto.

What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks will likely only get the sixth rounder if May re-signs with the Maple Leafs over the summer. May had become expendable in Anaheim due to the emergence of guys like Ryan Carter and Andrew Ebbett on the roster. Therefore, it's no surprise that new GM Bob Murray sent May to Ducks former GM Burke.
