McIVER TO VANCOUVER AGAIN
The Vancouver Canucks acquired defenseman Nathan McIver from the Anaheim Ducks for winger Mike Brown.
What does it give the Vancouver Canucks
McIver used to play for the Canucks, so he should be returning to familiar territory. He is a lot like fellow Vancouver blueliners Shane O'Brien and Rob Davison, so expect more movement along the Canucks blueline.
What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
Brown is another tough customer for an Anaheim team that still believes in physical play more than most teams. That said, Brown isn't likely to see a lot of ice time behind resident tough guy George Parros with the Ducks.
