The Phoenix Coyotes acquired forward Petteri Nokelainen from the Anaheim Ducks for a sixth-round draft pick in 2010.
What does it give the Phoenix Coyotes
Nokelainen is serviceable and versatile, so he should help with the Coyotes' depth up front. He came at a very low price, so this is another solid move by GM Don Maloney.
What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks had a surplus of centers and had to choose between Ryan Carter or Petteri Nokelainen on a nightly basis, so this lessens the clutter and adds a late pick to the Ducks. Nokelainen became redudant after Anaheim acquired Kyle Chipchura.
