FLAMES ADD MacMILLAN
The Calgary Flames acquired forward Logan MacMillan and a seventh-round draft pick in 2013 from the Anaheim Ducks for forward Jason Jaffray and a seventh-round draft pick in 2013.
What does it give the Calgary Flames
The Flames get the player with more upside in 20-year-old MacMillan, who turns 21 in early July. He has not lived up to his status as a first-round pick in 2007 (No. 19 overall), so now he gets a second chance on a team searching for more offense.
What does it give the Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks get a solid minor-league performer in Jaffray, who has totaled 10 points in 36 NHL games. He doesn't have much upside, but provides pretty good depth in case of injuries up front--especially since he can play both wing and center.
