MUNCE TO TAMPA BAY

The Tampa Bay Lightning acquired goaltender Ryan Munce from the Los Angeles Kings for a fourth-round draft pick in 2008

What does it give the Tampa Bay Lightning
This deal was probably constructed after the Kings claimed veteran Sean Burke off waivers from the Lightning. Munce will provide a little minor-league depth, but is a long way away from the NHL.

What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
The Kings had a little logjam in goal, so moving Munce at this time makes a lot of sense. Adding an asset next year is simply gravy for the Kings.
