The Lightning have lots of skilled forwards; adding Jason Ward gives them a greater physical dimension and versatility up front as push comes to shove in a very tight Eastern Conference playoff race.

Ward only lasted one month in Hollywood after arriving as throw-in in the Sean Avery trade. He obviously didn't make a strong impression as the rebuilding Kings opted for the draft pick.
