Boyle should help a Rangers club that will probably lose UFA center Blair Betts, last year's fourth-line center. Boyle has a lot more potential than Betts, and may get a chance to play on a scoring line if he plays well.
What does it give the Los Angeles Kings
There was no room for Boyle in L.A., since they boasted Anze Kopitar, Jarret Stoll, Michal Handzus and first rounder Brayden Schenn at the center position. So, they received good value in a third-round pick next season.
