Holzinger, winner of the 1995 Hobey Baker award, is known for his character and leadership. He also possesses good speed and plays a solid defensive game. These attributes will help in Columbus where the Blue Jackets have struggled badly despite expectation of a playoff run.

At 6-4, the versatile Pirjeta gives Pittsburgh size and he can play as a centerman or on the wing. Not an offensive standout, he doesn't cost very much either.
