BERGEVIN TO VANCOUVER

The Vancouver Canucks acquired defenseman Marc Bergevin from the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick in 2004.

Bergevin is known as one of the league's great characters. His impact will most likely be felt off the ice where he can help keep the team loose in hockey-mad Vancouver. He'll also help in the room with the Bertuzzi incident now hanging over the club.
