BEECH TO NASHVILLE

The Nashville Predators acquired center Kris Beech from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a conditional draft pick.

What does it give the Nashville Predators
The Preds will take a long look at Beech in training camp, since they are a little thin at the center position. However, Beech is expected to play with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals for most of 2005-06.

What does it give the Pittsburgh Penguins
The Pens essentially gave up on Beech, who never fulfilled the promise after being acquired from Washington in the Jaromir Jagr trade. Losing Beech will save the Pens roughly $900,000.
