HENSICK TO THE BLUES
The St. Louis Blues acquired center T.J. Hensick from the Colorado Avalanche for center Julian Talbot.
What does it give the St. Louis Blues
Hensick will get a second chance with the Blues, after bottoming out in Denver last year and finishing up in the AHL. The Blues traded Lars Eller earlier, so adding center depth in Hensick was a good idea at this time.
What does it give the Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche needed to move on with Hensick, after it became clear his days in the organization were numbered. In Talbot, the Avs land someone who can replace Hensick at the AHL level--but with less NHL upside.
