BLUES ADD SOBOTKA
The St. Louis Blues acquired forward Vladimir Sobotka from the Boston Bruins for defenseman David Warsofsky.
What does it give the St. Louis Blues
Sobotka's kamikaze style should fit in nicely with the Blues, who are a very hard team to play against. He may get more playing time with the Blues, who may use him regularly as their fourth-line center in 2010-11.
What does it give the Boston Bruins
The Bruins are knee-deep at center, and also pretty stacked at left wing these days, so there wasn't a lot of room for Sobotka anymore. Therefore, they moved him on to St. Louis and added an offensive defense prospect in Warsofsky, who will remain in the NCAA.
