KRAVTSOV TO THE CANUCKS
The Vancouver Canucks acquired winger Vitali Kravtsov from the New York Rangers for forward William Lockwood and a seventh-round draft pick in 2026.
What does it give the Vancouver Canucks
In Kravtsov, the Canucks land a dynamic KHL performer who has yet to make his mark on the NHL. However, he could get a significant opportunity with retooling Vancouver. Kravtsov is potentially going to a good spot in B.C.
What does it give the New York Rangers
Lockwood is a much different player than Kravtsov, but someone who could help the Rangers down the stretch and in the playoffs. He defends very well and might be able to carve out a role on the fourth line.
Fantasy impact
Kravtsov should be picked up (if available) in most league formats down the stretch, but especially in keeper leagues. Lockwood has little fantasy value and can continue to be safely ignored in fantasy circles.
