What does it give the Philadelphia Flyers
Rizzo was clearly a person of interest to the Flyers, as he was rumored to be heading to Philadelphia in a Tony DeAngelo trade that never materialized. Philly still got their man, eventually.
What does it give the Carolina Hurricanes
The Hurricanes did not receive much in return, as Kase is expected to remain in Europe for the foreseeable future. They seemed motivated to move on from Rizzo for whatever reason.
Fantasy impact
Rizzo will remain in college hockey for the time being, while Kase will continue to play in his native Czechia. Therefore, there is no fantasy impact here.
